STD IV STD IV in white finish. 24+1 frets, headed, BassXX preamp, 3x HB Rough Crystal, custom BassLab-style knobs. The close spacing of the two neck pickups provides a rich "soapbar" pickup sound when both are on.
STD V headless STD V in Imperial Blue with a pearl effect. 24+1 frets, headless, BassXX preamp, 2 pickups, and black hardware. This bass was reviewed by Bass Inside magazine, and received 5 out of 5 stars!
STD V headless STD V in Silver metallic. 24+1 frets, soundholes, BassXX preamp, 3 pickups, and painted silver hardware. This bass was reviewed by Bass Player magazine.
STD V fretless STD V with custom knobs STD V in dark blue finish. Fretless, headless, DaCapo preamp, 3x HB Rough Crystal, BassLab-style knobs. To the right is a close-up of the hand-made knobs.
STD V STD V in white finish. 24+1 frets, headed, BassXX preamp, 3x HB Rough Crystal, double output jacks (option). Note the shape of this bass compared to the white STD IV above. This is the more recent design, with a longer upper horn and a more refined shape. This bass also has optional raised areas built into the body between the pickups to provide a platform for the right hand fingers to come to rest on.
STD V frets and LED STD V bridge The left image shows the "25th" fret which is there for more than just art -- it takes the brunt of all the thumping and slapping. Also visible is the battery LED under the third string, which blinks when the battery is low. You can see the optional raised areas between the pickups in both images.
STD V STD V in black metallic finish. 24+1 frets, headed, BassXX preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal.
STD VI headless STD VI thumb rest STD VI in white pearl finish. 24 frets, headless, DaCapo preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal (coloured), gold hardware. There is also an optional thumb rest molded into the body, running from the bridge to the neck under and parallel to the lowest string.
STD VI headless STD VI in red metallic finish. 24 frets, headless, DaCapo preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal (coloured), black metal pots, thumb rest. This instrument has been to the Sahara desert and back -- and still in tune!
L-BOW V L-BOW V in Satin Silver metallic. 24+1 frets, DaCapo preamp, 3 pickups, and black hardware.
L-BOW V L-BOW V in yellow finish. 24+1 frets, BassXX preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal, and black hardware.
L-BOW V L-BOW V matching hardware L-BOW V in silver finish. 24+1 frets, DaCapo preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal, matching pots and hardware as seen in the close-up.
C-BOW V C-BOW V in yellow finish. 24+1 frets, DaCapo preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal, black metal pots. This is an L-BOW with part of the bow removed, or "cut", which creates the C-BOW option. This model is missing a bit of the tonal fullness of the L-BOW, but the result still looks cool.
L-BOW V L-BOW V in yellow finish. 20 frets, DaCapo preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal, acoustic soundholes. This instrument was a prototype of the L-BOW series, and shows the complete absence of a lower horn.
SOUL IV with soundhole SOUL IV in white finish. 20 frets, DaCapo preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal, black hardware, thin top, acoustic soundholes.
SOUL IV with soundholes SOUL IV in Imperial Blue metallic with black pickguard. 20 frets, BassXX preamp, 2 pickups, acoustic soundholes, and black hardware. This instrument was played by Marcus Miller, who liked it very much but has to keep his Fender endorsement ... for now!
SOUL IV SOUL IV in Ice Blue metallic. 20 frets, BassXX preamp, special twelfth fret indicator, 2 pickups, and black hardware. Erique Troi used this bass for his new album The Porcelain Experience.
SOUL IV SOUL IV in silver finish. 20 frets, BassXX preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal (coloured), black metal pots. The pickguard is an integral part of the body, and has been coloured black. Note the charge control LED just to the right of the neck pickup.
SOUL V SOUL V in red finish. 20 frets, BassXX preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal, black metal pots, black coloured pickguard. Note the charge control LED to the right of the bridge pickup.
SOUL IV SOUL IV in black finish. 20 frets, BassXX preamp, 2x HB Rough Crystal, black metal pots. The pickguard has been finished in the "tech metal" style, which is an extra-cost option. Note the charge control LED to the right of the bridge pickup.
STD-C-GUITAR STD-C-GUITAR in Satin Silver metallic. 25 full frets, a 26th half fret under the highest two strings, 2 Seymour Duncan "Screaming Demon" humbuckers, and LSR tuners.
Custom guitar A custom guitar design, with "inside-out" tuners, 2 pickups, 20 frets, and a custom airbrushed finish. Note the BassLab logo as the fifth fret marker. The fretboard is "scalloped out" between the upper frets.
LSR tuners These exceptional LSR tuners from Intertune Inc. have an integrated lock system. Available in gold, silver, and black. The tuning ratio is 40:1. The string is pulled into the barrel of the tuner, rather than being wrapped around a rotating post.
Below are different views of the C-GUITAR in silver finish. If these don't make you say "oooh" and "aaah", then nothing will!

Size comparison of STD-V, Jazz bass, and Strat guitar Here is a size comparison of the STD-V bass compared to an original Jazz bass (green overlay) and Strat guitar (red overlay), The bridges are lined up in this image. The STD-V body is about the same size as the Strat, but with a thinner waist and longer upper horn. Also, the STD-V gives much better access to the upper frets than the Jazz, with a better weight distribution to eliminate headstock diving.
